Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Delaware State University. The admissions process is intended to be clear and thorough. Several admissions functions can be done online.  We have provided detailed instructions to assist you in completing your application to the University. Please do not hesitate to contact your personal admissions counselor, identified by geographic region, for additional assistance. We're here for you! 

The basic procedure is:

  1. Verify your eligibility for admission
  2. Apply online and submit accompanying materials
  3. Apply for Financial Aid
  4. See if you qualify for scholarships
  5. Check the status of your application
  6. Confirm your intent to enroll, if admitted
  7. Attend New Student Orientation
  8. Register for classes
  9. Register for housing
  10. Submit your final official transcript
  11. Submit your completed health forms
  12. Arrive for classes

Important Message

The University will be closed in observance of the holiday on Friday, July 4, 2014.  The Office of Admissions will be closed beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014.  No campus tours are available when the University is closed.  We look forward to serving you again when we resume regular operating hours on Monday, July 7, 2014.

Complete your application for admission by February 1 for priority consideration.  Confirmation of attendance is non-binding and is encouraged as soon as you have decided to attend and no later than May 1.
