All prospective graduates are required to attend the May Commencement rehearsal that will be held on Friday, May 17th at 9 a.m. until approximately 10:30 a.m. in Alumni Stadium.  The rehearsal enables DSU officials to establish the assembly marching and seating order, and share with the students all pertinent Commencement ceremony information.

At the beginning of the rehearsal, the names of all prospective graduates who have satisfied all requirements will be distributed. Those students whose names are not on the list will be required to immediately report to the Office of Records and Registration.

Attendance at the Commencement rehearsal is mandatory.

University officials will also announce the order of the Commencement ceremony and provide all other pertinent details.

DSU wants your Commencement to be a memorable one, and graduation candidates play a major role by attending the rehearsal to find out what will take place. Students who fail to participate in the rehearsal will be placed at the end of the assembly line for the processional march on Commencement day.
