04/24/2015 - 3:00pm S4-15-000233 Bank of America Violation of Privacy A female reported that in early March 2015, she was in a stall in the women's bathroom located on the second floor of he Bank of America. While in that stall, she quickly observed what appeared to be a male hand (unknown race/ethnicity) with a black IPhone attempting to either take a photograph or video of her while she was on the toilet. The female student quickly got dressed and fled the bathroom. The female did not report the incident to any authorities until this reporting date. This case is similar in nature and M.O. to DSU case S4-15-000227. Pending Inactive
04/24/2015 - 9:30am S4-15-000232 UCY Bldg 5 Larceny A female reports that her IPhone had been stolen in a University Village Apartment while she was visiting that location for a party. At this time, the officer is gathering possible suspects from the party that can be interviewed for possible leads in this theft. Pending Active/Follow-Up
04/23/2015 - 7:13am S4-15-000231 L L Commons Criminal Mischief A male student observed a scratch on the driver side of his vehicle when he opened the driver side door, as well as other scratches on the passenger side and rear of the vehicle upon further inspection. 04/22/2015 - 8:00pm S4-15-000230 Wynder Towers Disorderly Conduct and Harassment A female student has been having problems with her roommate and friends of her roommate. The students had been disrespectful, banging on walls and calling the victim derogatory names. The officer interviewed all subjects and determined that this matter has been on-going. This matter was sent to Judicial Affairs for possible mediation. Judicial

04/23/2015 - 9:00am S4-15-000227 Bank of America Violation of Privacy A female student was sitting on a toilet in a women's bathroom, when a male entered the bathroom, placed his black IPhone under the stall wall and attempted to take a photograph or video of the female as she was partially disrobed. The male fled the area when confronted by the female, and was arrested later in the day. The male was arrested. Cleared by Arrest
04/23/2015 - 1:18am S4-15-000226 Evers Hall Weapon Possession A Residential Manager called DSUPD and advised that she needed assistance with a possible marijuana complaint in Evers Hall Dormitory. When officers responded, they made entry into a dormitory room, and discovered a knife; (Tac-Force model speedster black and gold in color). The officer took possession of the knife and the student will be issued a single Judicial Infraction for the weapon. Judicial
04/21/2015 - 7:25pm S4-15-000225 DSU Parking Lot #1 Criminal Mischief A student reported extensive damage to his vehicle while being parked in parking lot #1. A key or other sharp pointed object may have been utilized, causing damage to the vehicle's paint surface. There are currently no suspects in this crime. Pending Inactive
04/21/2015 - 6:57pm S4-15-000224 DSU Parking Lot # 6 Criminal Mischief A student reported minor damage to his motor vehicle that had not been previously observed by the victim while being parked in the parking lot. 04/21/2015 - 11:47am S4-15-000223 L L Commons Threatening Bodily Harm A female student who was attending the DSU Early College High School allegedly stated to another student that there was a bomb in the school, and that it would explode in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. The school and adjoining dormitory rooms were swiftly evacuated by on-shift DSU officers and DSU police administrators. The local fire department and Delaware State Police bomb detecting canines were additionally dispatched to the scene. There was no bomb or detonating device discovered, and the female was arrested for Terroristic Threatening. This case will be scheduled for Family Court due to the defendant's age. Cleared by Arrest
04/20/2015 - 8:21pm S4-15-000222 Welcome Center Domestic Violence (Verbal) Two adults (non DSU students) were verbally arguing in their vehicle as they pulled onto the DSU campus. Officers were notified and responded to the Welcome Center. It was determined that the female had become irate during their dinner date, about alcohol being served on the menu. The male confirmed this argument that occurred in the presence of their six year old child. Both parties exhibited no signs of injury, and have agreed to seek counseling. Service Clear
04/20/2015 - 8:28pm S4-15-000221 UV1 Burglary A student reports that an unknown subject/s forced their way into the victim's bedroom, causing damage to the door and locking mechanism. The subject/s removed video game components and other electronics. The officer viewed the camera videos and has a possible suspect. The officer will attempt to interview this subject in the near future. This investigation remains pending active. Pending Active/Follow-Up
04/19/2015 - 10:30am S4-15-000219 DSU parking lot Larceny A student reported that an unknown suspect had removed his personal belongings from his vehicle. There appeared to be no outward signs of forced entry to this vehicle. There are no known suspects in this theft. Pending Inactive
04/19/2015 - 3:51am S4-15-000217 Outside of the MLK Student Center Simple Assault While responding to aid an intoxicated female that was actively being assaulted, the male victim himself became a victim, being assaulted by numerous males. The male victim transported himself to an emergency room, where he was treated for head and back injuries. There are no known suspects in this assault. Pending Inactive
04/19/2015 - 1:04am S4-15-000216 UCY Bldg 2 Endangering the Welfare While on patrol and in the office located in the University Courtyard Apartment complex, an officer heard several shots fired near an apartment complex building. Numerous officers responded, but no suspects were apprehended at the time of the incident. The next day, the officer was given a suspect by a confidential informant. The investigation is on-going, and the officer will issue a warrant for the suspect once the investigation has been completed. Pending Active/Follow-Up
04/18/2015 - 10:34pm S4-15-000215 UV1 Criminal Mischief An intoxicated student punched and broke a window in the University Village Apartments. This crime was witnessed by several police officers who immediately arrested the student. The student was issued a criminal summons and released after he became sober. Cleared by Arrest
04/18/2015 - 8:08am S4-15-000214 Outside- in greek plot area, near Memorial Hall (West) Aggravated Assault While patrolling a sanctioned event, all officers responded to hearing shots fired and discovered that a victim had been struck by a bullet. Eventually, officers discovered three victims; all who were transported to the hospital for definitive treatment. All students and/or guests were requested by DSU officers and officers from multiple agencies to return to their dormitories or apartments and eventually complied. The suspect was not identified as of this posting, and the investigation continues in this assault. An emergency notification was issued to students, faculty and staff members. 04/18/2015 - 4:43pm S4-15-000213 Jenkins Hall Simple Assault A victim reported that he and an associate were assaulted while in the Jenkins Hall dormitory. There are no known suspects at this time. The officer will attempt to continue investigating this assault. Pending Active/Follow-Up
04/18/2015 - 3:45pm S4-15-000212 DSU parking lot #4 Drug Abuse Violations An officer was on patrol when he walked up to a vehicle parked in the fire lane. The subject in the vehicle had in plain view, several baggies of cocaine in his hand. The subject was arrested without incident, and was issued a criminal summons and a DSU Notice of Trespass. Cleared by Arrest
04/18/2015 - 6:00am S4-15-000211 Wynder Towers Liquor Law Violations While on patrol of the campus, an officer heard several loud voices coming from a dormitory. When the officer knocked on the door, the occupants became silent, even after the officer ordered the occupants to open the door. Eventually gaining access to the room from a on-duty RA, the officer made contact with several students. The officer discovered alcohol at this location. The students are all under the legal age of 21 years of age, and were issued a single Judicial Infraction for the possession of the alcohol. Judicial

04/18/2015 - 2:17am S4-15-000209 L L Commons Suspicion of smoking marijuana Officers responded to the Living and Learning Commons for a fire alarm. An officer advised that the alarm originated in room 616. Both officers responded to the dormitory room, and discovered the smell of burnt marijuana. The student will be issued a single Judicial Infraction for the smell of the marijuana. Judicial
04/17/2015 - 10:17pm S4-15-000208 Jenkins Hall Drug Abuse Violations A police officer was patrolling through Jenkins Hall dormitory, when she smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from a particular room. Gaining access to the room, the officer observed a Ziploc baggie containing marijuana on the desk. The student was arrested without incident. Cleared by Arrest
