Transfer Student Admission
Each year, hundreds of students discover that Delaware State University fits their academic goals and needs. For these students, we aim to make the transfer process as smooth as possible. Students interested in transferring to DSU are offered the opportunity to visit campus, meet with admissions counselors and explore more about DSU on Transfer Wednesdays in the Fall and Spring semesters.

International Student Admission
Enrolling in international educational programs is an excellent vehicle to not only enrich your academic life, but also to learn about other cultures and customs. DSU currently welcomes over 250 international students across our various programs.

DTCC Dual Admission
Delaware Technical and Community College students have the chance to earn a bachelor’s degree from DSU through the Dual Admission Program. Students enrolled in Connected Degree programs can easily transfer DTCC credits to DSU in order to fulfill their degree.

We offer professional development courses, degree completion and non-credit personal enrichment courses for those who desire to continue their education as it fits their needs.

Early Bird Program
Ambitious high school juniors and/or seniors eager to get a head start on their college journey should consider applying to our Early Bird Program. Students accepted to the program can enroll in up to six credit hours per semester.

Accepted Students
Upon being accepted to DSU, there are still a few more requirements to complete prior to beginning classes, such as accepting admission, completing the financial aid process, applying for housing, submitting final high school transcripts, attending New Student Orientation (NSO) and registering for classes. Military & Veteran students
DSU is happy to accommodate students who currently serve or have served in the military. There are various benefits for military and veterans who attend classes at DSU. MILITARY & VETERAN STUDENT BENEFITS
Honors program admission
Candidates for the Honors Program may apply by simply completing a short Honors Program application and sending all other application materials to the DSU Honors Program. A prospective honors student must have:
- Admission to DSU without conditions;
- A GPA of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale);
- An SAT combined score of at least 1050 in Mathematics and Critical Reading, with at least 450 in each section; OR an ACT composite score of at least 22 in Mathematics and Critical Reading; and,
- Approval of the Honors Program.
