Brianna Fedorkowicz, a senior general agriculture major and a member of the DSU equestrian team, is among about 50 young ladies selected to vie for the 2015 Miss Delaware USA title.

Ms. Fedorkowicz, 22, of Camden, Del., will try to make her mark in the Miss Delaware Pageant, to be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Wilmington on Nov. 29-30.

“I have always dreamed of being Miss Delaware, but never felt that I fit the mold of a beauty queen,” Ms. Fedorkowicz said. “I thought about it for a while, and decided to jump in with both feet and go for it.”

Based on her interview with the Miss Delaware USA officials, Ms. Fedorkowicz made the pageant cut out of several hundred applicants.

The two-day Miss Delaware USA Pageant will feature competition in the swim suit, evening gown and interview categories. After the preliminary and semi-final round, the context will be narrowed down to five finalists, who will each also have to answer an onstage question that will be pulled out of a bowl.

Ms. Fedorkowicz, who currently has a 3.2 GPA, is a National Collegiate Equestrian Association Academic All-American and a MEAC Commissioner All-Academic Team member.
