Alpha Phi Alpha Wins DSU’s Divine 9 Challenge

The men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., have been recognized as the winner of DSU’s 2014 Divine 9 Challenge.

The men of Alpha Phi Alpha raised $2,990 in this year’s Divine Nine Challenge, which annually engages Greek Letter organizations to raise scholarship dollars for DSU students. This year’s challenge has been incorporated as part of the University’s recently launched Greater Than One: Campaign for Students.

In addition to being recognized during the Oct. 18 Homecoming football game, Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity will also be honored for their winning effort during the Dec. 13 President’s Scholarship Ball.

Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta finished second and third, respectively, in the Divine 9 Challenge. The total amount raised was $5,613.
