Summer Academy
The Delaware State University Summer Academy is a seven-week on-campus and virtual learning opportunity that provides the chance to fast-track student success by earning 6-9 college credits, get a head start on your journey as a Hornet and ease your transition from high school.
Who can attend?
- Summer Academy is open to all incoming freshmen as well as transfer students with less than 30 credits.
WHAT ARE THE Dates?
- June 24-August 9, 2024

5 weeks residential/on-campus learning (June 24-July 26)

2 weeks remote/hybrid learning (July 29-August 9)

WHAT IS THE COST?
- Summer Academy program cost: $3,500

Fees: $100 Summer Academy Enrollment Fee and $200 Summer/Fall Housing Deposit
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO PAY?

Grants are available for those who qualify.
(please apply for financial aid for the Summer 2024 semester by filing the 2023-2024 FAFSA at https://studentaid.gov. Include Delaware State University’s school code – 001428).
2023-2024 FASFA Deadline: June 30
Note: The 2024-2025 FAFSA must be filed separately for the fall 2024 semester. -
Payment plans are also available beginning May 2024.
WHAT ARE MY Next Steps?
Step 1: Complete the online registration form (opens April 1).
Step 2: Pay the nonrefundable $100 Enrollment Fee and $200 Summer/Fall Housing Deposit by May 3.
Step 3: Secure funding to pay financial obligations.
