The Coronation of Mr. & Miss DSU – Photo Slideshow

The 2014 Mr. and Miss DSU, James Jones and Jamila Mustafa, were formally crowned during the annual Coronation Ceremony held Oct. 12 in the Education and Humanities Theatre on campus.

Mr. DSU James Jones is a business administration major from Upper Marlboro, Md. His ambition is to become a world-renowned philanthropist and entrepreneur. Most immediately he looks forward to joining the corporate team of Neil General Contractor, Inc., to expand the vision and reality of his father. The son of Cornelius and Jan Tuff, the 21-year-old senior stands behind the creed “When God predestines your why, He will be your how.” His platform is “Strive for greater: You are more than what you have become.”

Miss DSU Jamila Mustafa is a mass communication major from Wilmington, Del. She is a former Miss Teen Essence USA and most recently she was the first runner-up at the Miss NBCA Hall of Fame Pageant for HBCU Queens. Her favorite quote is “I never dreamed for success, I worked for it!” Her platform is “Project Uplift: Leadership Made Visible.”
