The final score of the DSU vs. Howard football game notwithstanding, warm feeling abound on campus as generations of alumni returned to the alma mater for the 2017 Homecoming weekend.

Donations were presented to DSU by:

  • By Joel and Arlene Coppadge, who established at $10,000 endowed scholarship.
  • The Delaware State College Class of 1967 made a $30,590 donation.
  • The DSU Athletic Boosters gave a donation of $10,000.
  • The University announces corporate donations of $100,000 from DuPont (for scholarships to STEM majors) and $20,000 from Delmarva Power (for scholarships).
  • DSU President Harry L. Williams also announced an anonymous donation of $450,000. 
  • The DSU Hall of Fame Vision Committee announced that it has raised $72,190 to go toward the construction of a Hall of Fame facility on campus.
