University’s Dawn Hopkins receives Rising Star Award
Dawn Hopkins, director of Annual Giving, was recently honored as the Delaware ACE Women’s Network (DAWN) presented her with its 2018 DAWN Rising Star Award.
Ms. Hopkins received the award at the DAWN’s annual Fall Awards Dinner held Oct. 16 at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington.
DAWN recognized Ms. Hopkins for the progression of job advancement that she has realized in her seven years at Delaware State University. The awards program noted that “Dawn’s unfailing work ethic, integrity and commitment to leadership within her sphere of responsibility has been recognized and afforded her five promotions within DSU since she joined the University in 2011.”
Ms. Hopkins has a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland University College. She is slated to graduate with a Master’s in Public Administration from DSU in May 2019.
DAWN is a chapter of the National ACE Network, which upholds the mission of identifying women leaders, developing women’s leadership abilities, linking women with other women and mentors, and supporting and advancing women in med and executive level position throughout their careers.
