After a year hiatus due to COVID, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament returned on the week of May 7, and a contingent of Hornet faithful showed up in support of the Lady Hornets and the Hornet Men who both played on May 9.

Despite both teams losing their opening round games, the Delaware State University family gathered at the Norfolk Waterside Marriot for an evening of warm fellowship at a reception hosted by the Athletic Victory Club.

The late Frankie Reddick Manley, Class of 1979, was honored as Delaware State University Distinguished Alumni of the Year. After the University selected her for the honor, Ms. Manley passed away on Jan. 23 in Norfolk, Va.

Her son Darius Manley accepted the award on behalf of his mother at the MEAC Tournament on March 10.
