Celebration event recognizes Del enrollment/retention records
The University dedicated the afternoon of April 14 to celebrate its current record successes in the area of enrollment and retention.
The Enrollment Management Council hosted a two-hour event in the MLK Student Center parlors, which involved food, music, dancing, and much rejoicing over the following record fall 2021 accomplishments:
- Total student enrollment – 5,649 (up 12%)
- Total undergraduate student enrollment – 4,848 (up 10%)
- Total graduate student enrollment – 801 (up 32%)
- Total of online students – 317 (up 38%)
- Freshman retention rate – 75%
- Total of international students – 449 (up 50%)
“The ability of our University-wide teams to work collaboratively to achieve the common goals of increase student enrollment and retention is the cornerstone of Delaware State University Strategic Enrollment successes and a wonderful reason to celebrate,” said Antonio Boyle, Senior Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
