URELAH announces scholarship award recipients
Five students have been named by the DSU Undergraduate Research, Experiential Learning and Honors Program (URELAH) as the winner of its annual awards and as the beneficiaries of $5,000 scholarships made possible by the sponsorship of JP Morgan Chase & Co.
The scholarship recipients and their award categories:
- Aalia Bello, sophomore Computer Science major from Middletown, Del. – The Hornet Leadership and Service Award.
- Dallas Speicher-Ramirez, junior Sports Management major from Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Academic Excellence Award for Higher GPA.
- Kayla Howell, senior Physics major from East Orange, N.J. – URELAH Research Award.
- Yasmeen Olass, sophomore Bio-Chemistry major from Hiram, Ga.
- Jonte Simmons, graduate MBA student from Reading, Pa.
“Each of these remarkable individuals has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact within our community and beyond,” said Dr. Shonda L. Poe, Executive Director of URELAH. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to JP Morgan Chase for their continued support in empowering our students to excel both academically and as leaders in their respective fields.”
