The DEEP Day keynote speaker was Amber Perry, Vice President of Regulatory Strategy and Services for Pepco Holdings. In a “fireside chat” format, Ms. Perry focused her message on the subject of “Change Management.”The winning Mission Mindful team of Jaden Weatherspoon, Brandon Jones, Tianna Manning, Awasung Moma and coach Dr. Carrie Awadzi.

Consistent with previous years, DEEP ended the day with its CASE Business Competition. This year, four teams vied for the top prizes by coming up with the best business plan for infusing mental health strategies as part of a business enterprise operation.

The winning team was the Mission Mindful team of Jaden Weatherspoon, Brandon Jones, Tianna Manning, and Awasung Moma. Each member of the winning team was awarded $10,000.

Nestled in between the morning keynote speaker and afternoon competition were breakout sessions that offered a wide variety of business and profession development topics. The daylong event was held in the Bank of America Building.
