DSU Congressional Delegation visits DSU

The Delaware Congressional Delegation made separate individual visits to DSU on March 18-20 to meet with faculty and staff from its Aviation, Education, and Natural Science academic disciplines.U.S. Sen. Chris Coons takes a break from meeting with faculty and students to spend time with Early Childhood lab children.

U.S. Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester came on campus on March 18, where she paid a visit to the University’s Mishoe Science Center. Sen. Blunt Rochester learned about DSU’s accredited Water Analysis Lab and met with the Biological Science faculty and student researchers there.

Making her first trip to the Delaware Airpark on March 19, U.S. Rep. Sarah McBride familiarized herself with the DSU Aviation Program. She met with instructors and student pilots and toured the program’s fleet of aircraft.

On March 20, Delaware Senior U.S. Sen. Chris Coon met with faculty and staff from the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Science, where he discussed recent actions taken by the current presidential administration. However, it wasn’t all about time with the adults of DSU. Sen. Coons spent time with the youngest members of the DSU community, the children of the Early Childhood Lab School in the Education and Humanities Building, where he read the young ones a story.
