DSU professor and student honored in State Employee Art Exhibition
Two members of the DSU community have been honored for their artistic works currently on display at the 14th annual State Employee Art Exhibition at the DSU Arts Center/Gallery.
Chloe Hannah, a junior Studio Art major and the daughter of a Caesar Rodney School District administrator, won 2nd Place in the Immediate Category for his ball point pen work entitled “Rosie and Graham.”
The exhibition features works submitted by State of Delaware Employees and their immediate family members. Submission categories are Amateur, Intermediate, and Professional.
Dr. Adenike Davidson, Acting Dean of the DSU College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, won an honorable mention for her quilt work entitled “Masked Delight.”
Hosted by the Delaware Division of the Arts, it is the 14th consecutive year that the State Employee Art Exhibition has been featured in the DSU Arts Center/Galley. The exhibition – total more than 200 works – is on display in the Arts Center/Gallery until March 21.
“Creativity is at the heart of innovation, and Delaware state employees embody that every day—whether through problem-solving, collaboration, or finding new ways to serve the people of Delaware,” said Governor Matt Meyer. “This exhibition reminds us that the arts are woven into the fabric of who we are and that the ingenuity that drives artistic expression also fuels our innovative work across state government.”
