STEM Scholars Award for Women
Advancement and achievement in science, technology, engineering and math
The United States of America workforce of the future will be heavily dependent upon technology. As the STEM field continues to expand, there will be a need for diverse experts to create, develop, build and maintain technology. This scholarship will afford many young scholars with an interest in the STEM field the opportunity to pursue a college degree with financial support. The purpose of this scholarship is to support a pipeline of future STEM professionals who can pursue careers in government, private industries and entrepreneurship opportunities, with a special focus on women in STEM. The long-term goal of this fund is to provide 1,000 scholarships to women majoring in a STEM field at Delaware State University.
This scholarship will award $3,000 scholarships each year to students who meets the scholarship criteria. This scholarship fund was established by Delaware State University alumnus Sonceré W. Woodford, CEO of Capital S Publishing, LLC.
